The Adventures of Jon & Chad
Fun adventures for you to enjoy, in Idaho & Beyond!
Hi, we’re Jon and Chad. Two guys from Idaho with a passion for adventure, travel, and the outdoors.
For the past several years we have travelled all over Idaho and places like Baja, Patagonia, Corsica and China. Those weren’t our first adventures though and certainly won’t be our last. Those experiences have inspired us to create our own platforms to help you have your own unique adventures in Idaho & beyond! We hope to inspire and help you find your own adventures and entertain you a little bit along the way!
We hope you enjoy our content. That it entertains you and inspires you to get out there!

Hiking The Alice-Toxaway Loop In Idaho’s Sawtooth Mountains
The Alice-Toxaway loop in the Sawtooth Mountains of Idaho starts and ends at Pettit Lake and the Tin Cup Trailhead. That’s not clickbait. I’m serious when I say this is the most beautiful 26 miles in North America. I doubt you’ll convince me otherwise.
Loftus Hot Springs | Boise National Forest, Idaho
On this December day Loftus is a winter wonderland. Snow falls in the canyon, dusting the pine trees. The Boise River runs below as the geothermal water drains down in to it. Birds chirp, steam rises, a beautiful little water fall is the loudest thing out here as it playfully splashes in the soaking pool.
Bike Pocatello | Southeast Idaho
With Idaho’s mountainous terrain and thousands of trails, this state is a real hot spot for people seeking single track. But there’s one overlooked city in Southeast Idaho that really surprised me on our recent travels. Where the biking community has built an impressive self regulated trail system in their vast foothills. And after a day of riding these hills, I’ll be recommending them to whoever asks me about great Idaho mountain biking.
3 Hikes Around Lowman | Less Than 2 Hours From Boise Idaho
Why Lowman Idaho? Where even is Lowman Idaho? Less than 2 hours away from Boise I could get to Lowman without having to stop anywhere, many of the hikes stayed right under my 5,000 foot threshold and my favorite part, I hadn’t heard of any of these places. I highly recommend these trips to help grow your skill and comfort in the outdoors.
